After both teams suffered elimination from the Champions League Qualifiers, Panevezys and Maccabi Tel Aviv will continue their European journey in the 3rd Qualifying Round in the Europa League. The first leg will take place at LFF stadium in Vilnius.
Panevezys came to this season after a historic one, considering they won their first league title in nine-year-old history. According to the club's website, the club added striker Amine Benchaib on August 4th. The 26-year-old Belgian arrived on a free transfer from Farul Constanta but played very little last season since he battled with injuries for the most part.
